Hi,
When dragging with your mouse, the cell reference in formulas changes to area
reference.
Steps to reproduce:
* new spreadsheet
* in cell a1 enter 1
* in cell a2 enter 2
* in cell b1 enter =$A$1
* now, in cell b1 press the {F2} button, and drag the colored box around a1 to
a2
Notice the value in cell b1 now is: =$A$2:A2
Expected result: value cell b1: =$A$2
