My negative vote for this proposal.

The "inline" solution for word completion is far more "intuitive", in terms of
self-descriptiveness and suitability for the task (for explanations please refer
to Part 10 of ISO 9241 "Ergonomic requirements for office work with visual
display terminals"). Furthermore, its easier to read (that's the other side of
the coin "obstruct the eye focus"). And you have a better control on how your
document will look like if you insert this very word.

For those not agreeing, we still have an option for a bubble-help style word
completion. So they can have what they prefer with a simple click. But I don't
see any need to change the default behavior here.

MSO does not count here because a) we are not aiming for a free (beer) Word
clone and b) we decide according to usability guidelines and acknowledged
standards, not according to what others do (because we even don't know why they
do what they do).
