------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Mar 9 18:47:29 -0800 2005 ------- Unfortunately I have not done the reinstallations very systematically, but initial install of 2.0 Beta was as following -Download OOo_2.0beta_LinuxIntel_install.tar.gz $tar xzf OOo_2.0beta_LinuxIntel_install.tar.gz $cd RPMS $rm openoffice*suse*rpm $sudo rpm -ihv *.rpm -Everything seems to install without problem. However no new kde-menus are created. $/opt/openoffice.org1.9.79/program/simpress -Playing around with impress. Close! -At this point the redhat/kde-menus for 1.1.3 does no longer works. But 1.1.3 writer can be started from console and from other programs like firefox. I did not try this earlier after installing 2.0 or later before shutting down. -At some point during the day I did a "apt-get dist-upgrade". $/opt/openoffice.org1.9.79/program/swriter -Works with writer for several hours. Close. Shutdown. -Turn on computer .... -1.1.3 kde-menus still does not work. -Konqueror; double click on .sxi document does not work. $/opt/openoffice.org1.9.79/program/swriter /opt/openoffice.org1.9.79/program/soffice: line 235: 902 Segmentation fault "$sd_prog/$sd_binary" "$@" $/opt/openoffice.org1.9.79/program/soffice -same result! $soffice -same result! $/usr/local/OpenOffice.org1.1.3/program/soffice Segmentation fault As root (and using sudo) both versions works. Creating a new user and try to run the program causes the same problem as described above. I'm running Fedora Core 3. libc is 2.3.4-2.fc3 as mentioned above. I'm running a custom kernel 2.6.11, except for adding nsp32 SCSI driver it has the same config as standard 2.6.10-1.766_FC3 kernel, but without fedora patches. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
