This issue was apparently fixed (see issue 44514), however, on openoffice 2.2
(windows xp, and ubuntu), the square brackets still do not render correctly (the
corners of the square brackets are enlarged incorrectly both when displayed and
when printed).
For example, open an openoffice writer document,

For the formula code, enter:
