SBA->FME: I have several scenarios. I do not regard these as a collective issue
because they all affect the update of line numbering. Hopefully the variations
and workarounds help to spot the core problem. I believe all this worked fine in
OOo 2.0 (SO 8 final) and is broken since OOo 2.01 (SO8 PP1). I worked with
SRC680m222 on WinXP.

Example (1)
 - Load bugdoc (211 pages of dummy text in 684 paragraphs, 52 lines per page,
10944 lines in total)
Note: Line numbering is set to "restart on every page". Initially, line
numbering is OK.
 - Select all (<Ctrl>+A)
 - Cut (<Ctrl>+X)
 - Paste (<Ctrl>+V)
 - Go to page 1 (<Ctrl>+<Pos1>)
 - Scroll down to page 2
-> DEFECT: Line numbering restarts (with "2") at the second paragraph, restarts
with "3" in third paragraph... This is the case for page 2 - 123. Page 124
upwards is OK.

Example (2)
 - Reload document
 - Tools-Line numbering
 - Uncheck "Restart on every page"
 - OK
 - Get to the end of the ducument with <Ctrl>+<End>
 - Wait a few seconds for the line numbering to update
-> DEFECT: I get different results (all wrong) each time
(To check: File-properties-Statistics, click "Update" - see "10944 Lines"

Example (3)
 - Reload document
 - Go to the end (<Ctrl>+<End>)
 - Tools-Line numbering
 - Uncheck "Restart on every page"
 - OK
 - Format page, tab "page"
 - Select page orientation "Landscape"
 - OK
 - Wait for the line numbers to update
[Note that they update to a correct value (7524 in landscape page orientation)]
 - Tools-Line numbering
 - Check "Restart on every page"
 - OK
 - Go to page 1 (<Ctrl>+<Pos1>)
-> DEFECT: Line numbering restarts at every paragraph

My "workaround" attempts and experiences:
(A) When entering (and remove it again) a manual page break or empty paragraph,
the line count looks like it updates. But only in a limited area, a few pages in
either direction shows the problem again.
(B) When changing the page orientation (portrait->landscape and back) the line
count updates too, but with "restart on every page" set, it does not solve the
problem for this document either.
(C) The most reliable throughout line numbering re-count seems to take place
when File-Page Preview is called (and closed again).
