At the time I reported this, I was using Fedora Linux 6. I repeated the problem again just now using OOo 2.2.1 on Fedora 7. I don't recall the reason for wanting to copy from "Notes" view. I think the person who asked me about it was trying to prepare a custom notes layout using Writer.
