SBA: After reading the chat log between Sophie and Mechtilde, I believe that
Sophie mixed AutoCorrection with AutoSpellcheck.

Since we introduced "Language guessing", the context menu of a misspelled word
(red underlined by AutoSpellcheck) offers "Word is [$language]" and "Paragraph
is [$language]". Just as it did before. But...
The change here is that the language proposals do NOT come from "scanning the
installed dictionaries" anymore. In the past, this led to performance problems
(when too many dicts are installed) and to too many useless proposals.
Now the other side of the coin is that you can set languages that are "not
supported" (not installed or deactivated). This leaves a trap to set such
language and not get any feedback that this is not being spellchecked.

For OOo 2.4, it is planned to implement an "ease of language setting" via the
status bar. Around that Feature we must ensure that there is a solution for the
problem of "typing in a language and not knowing that there is no spell check
acive".

SBA-> Sophie, Mechtilde: Please comment.
