(I've looked at other issues and they aren't really the same thing as far as I
can tell). When starting OO.org by double-clicking on a file, the splash screen
stays open too long and gets in the way of anything that has to happen before
the document can be completely opened. For example, I have some documents that
have macros; OO.org asks me if I want to enable them, but the dialog is hidden
behind the splash screen. If OO.org crashes and has to recover the document,
this dialog is also hidden.

My preferred resolution for this issue would be to turn the thing off. I hate
splash screens. They are like Flash intros to websites. But if there's a way
to disable it, I can't find it in the preferences.
