Actually I think GNOME 2.6 ignores the files in mime-info, so the first two
symbolic links should not be necessary (even though they do no harm).
Starting with Solaris 10 Update 4, running update-mime-database should no longer
be necessary either.
The content of openoffice2x.applications should also be o.k. in OOo 2.3, which
leaves only the application-registry symbolic link as not yet fixed.
