writing a followup task for the original problem (a little awkward, but i
committed code already for the problem described below under this issue id)
problem: on gnome desktop a testtool driven OOo does not reliably bring new
documents to the foreground; this is a feature of the window manager supposed to
save the user from an application stealing the focus. Alas, the testtool depends
on newly loaded/created documents getting the focus (a broken behaviour, but
what gives), so we need to try to activate the documents forcibly for the
testtool.
