I don't think a CUPS problem would lead to increased resource consumption in the
Xserver. But without a method of reproduction we will never know.
ja: do you have a machine that reproduces this behaviour ? Main memory doesn't
seem to be the issue here, 512M is what e.g. my machine has also.
