The difference between #80622 (Writer copy and paste) and this one is, that in Writer the selected object is replaced, as you suggest. But in Calc *nothing at all* happens if an object is still selected. Simply nothing is inserted or removed if another object is selected. Thus, (as I wrote in #80622) we have three (3!) different behaviours. (Calc, Writer, Draw; Impress seems to act like Draw and that's the behaviour I would vote for, because that's the way most users may expect it, because every program I remember behaves like Draw does.) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
