I set up this printer using 'spadmin' "add a printer"-> "Laserjet 5Si" and command line "lpr -Phm32" where hm32 is a remote LPD printer defined in /etc/printcap. [Printer=HPLJ5SI1/HP LaserJet 5Si in psprint.conf]

The output appears the same on the printer if the printer type
is selected as just the "Generic Printer"
[Printer=SGENPRT/Generic Printer in psprint.conf]

It should be possible to reproduce by selecting that printer and
printing to a file to see the NimbusSan[s]L-Regu inconsistancy.

Regards,

Bernard

I'll probably would need the PPD of that printer in order to reproduce.
Could you attach the PPD you are using for convenience. Thanks.
Btw. what printing system are you using. CUPS?

What's probably happening (from what I can see so far):
Helvetica is a Bitmap XFont which can not be printed. OO.o performs a fallback
for printing which results in "NimbusSanL-Regu" being chosen.
But there's probably more...
