------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Aug 25 14:00:22 +0000 2007 ------- The Hsqldb database engine support the TRIM command In SQL View the query parser will accept this command in the form TRIM( FROM <COLUMN_NAME ) as an abbreviated form of TRIM( BOTH FROM <COLUMN_NAME> ) In the query designer view this generates a Warning dialog box that the column "TRIM( FROM <COLUMN_NAME" is could not be found, and will not execute the query.
