The Hsqldb database engine support the TRIM command

In SQL View the query parser will accept this command in the form

TRIM( FROM <COLUMN_NAME ) as an abbreviated form of TRIM( BOTH FROM
<COLUMN_NAME> )

In the query designer view this generates a Warning dialog box that the column
"TRIM( FROM <COLUMN_NAME" is could not be found, and will not execute the query.

It is recognized in SQL view with escape processing turned on.
