For the EnforceFormat: The namings might not been the best here. The general
idea is that when this property is set to TRUE, then the control will not
enforce a valid value when it loses the focus. This behaviour also exists for
date and time fields, with the same semantics. For date and time, there are
dedicated values (used in GetDate/GetTime) which could denote an invalid
date/time, for numeric fields, this dedicated value (used in GetValue) has been
chosen to be NaN.
Patch is mine to look at, so accepting
