fs->eeka1234: as said, we're somewhat short on time here, since we're in the hot
phase of 2.3, and this issue is targeted for 2.3.
I see the feasibility of a per-control setting for this, but for the moment, I'd
say the original request - be able to insert into controls bound to required
fields with server-side defaults - is fulfilled. This might not be the way you
consider the optimal way, but please let's keep this out of this issue here. In
other words: Please submit a new issue, requesting a per-control setting.
