It will eventually return to being responsive but the delay is many seconds, or minutes even. How to repeat: Open a medium to large CSV. For example, the 350K file from here: http://www.nasdaqtrader.com/trader/tradingservices/marketshare/daily2007/august/ 082407.csv In the Character Set field, cursor down and then up to Unicode. App becomes unresponsive until the Unicode preview is displayed below ... about 30 seconds on my 3.0 GHz P4. This issue does not occur when the file being imported is small. Also, it appears that the entire file is displayed on a single line -- so the entire file is being formatted for preview rather than just the first few lines of the .csv as would fit in the preview.
