------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Mar 11 10:14:09 -0800 2005 ------- I have the same problem on an IBM Thinkpad T40 with an "IBM Thinkpad UltraNav Pointing Device" (touchpad plus trackpoint) with driver Synaptics 7.5.17.10. I am running Windows XP, OOo 1.9.79. The pointing device provides, if configured accordingly, two scrolling mechanisms: moving the finger up and down the very right edge of the touchpad, or moving the trackpoint up and down while pressing the center one of the three trackpoint buttons. Both mechanisms works in pretty much all applications (Firefox, IE, MS Office, basically anything which has a vertical scroll bar) but not OOo (tested in Writer and Calc). The scroll wheel of an external Microsoft Wheel Mouse does work. When it didn't work in OOo 1.1, I thought it's because that version didn't use native Windows widgets. When I read that OOo 2.0 will use native widgets, I was already looking forward to be able to scroll, but still it doesn't work. I would *really* like this to work, because it's important for productivity, and it's also about OOo feeling like home or like a stranger on my computer ... Thanks for your efforts! OOo is great, I barely use MS Office any more, and I believe OOo has the potential to become the No. 1 office suite even on Windows! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
