If the installing user chooses to have MS files associated with OOo, those
associations are only set up FOR THE INSTALLING USER, not for all users.

In other words, in Windows the associations are stored in the CURRENT_USER
registry hive, not in LOCAL_MACHINE where they should be.

I see this as a bug which should be remedied immediately; the installing user is
setting up OOo for all users of the computer, not just for him/herself, and is
setting file associations which he/she believes most users either want or need.

Bug 4414, an enhancement request to allow users modify their file associations
post-installation, is related, but does not really overlap with this issue.
