I recently attempted to print a document formatted in the odt format and nothing
happened. I didn't even get an error message from open office telling me that
the attempt to print my document failed. I checked the CUPS printing queue for
the printer to be printed from and it was empty: even if the printer was not
reachable at the time. (The normal behavior is for CUPS to queue up the document
in a queue and print it as soon as possible.)

I copied the contents of the document into an untitled odt-formatted file and
attempted to print it and it worked. I would attach the offending file up so
that it could be analyzed, but I accidentally saved over it.
