------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Oct 13 19:22:36 +0000 2007 ------- I have encountered this also using OOo Writer 2.3. The behavior that I am seeing is this: 1) Under Options - Load/Save - General, I set "Save AutoRecovery information every" to one minute. 2) Create an new document and enter some text. 3) Monitor the backup directory, and a recovery file is created after a minute. 4) Return to the document and add some more text. 5) Monitor the backup directory and no updates occur. I have even left it running overnight. 6) If I save the file and enter more text, a recovery file will be saved after a minute. 7) Repeat steps 4-5 above, and I get the same result. I found this first with OOo 2.3 on Windows. I tried OOo 2.2 on my Ubuntu Linux system and the recovery file would update every minute. I updated my Linux system with the latest OOo 2.3 and found the same problem occurring. I plan to, but have not yet tried going back to OOo 2.2 on Windows. This problem cost my daughter 2 hrs work on her book report. Maybe now she'll remember to save every once in a while.
