I am quite sorry about this choice, as this issue impacts all companies trying to migrate to OOo. We have been working with a bunch of companies representing 500,000 enterprise users, and each of them told us that this was one of the main issues . I was thinking that with issue 29646 and issue 36594 the date field problems would be solved, but it seems that I was wrong...
