I'm upgrade OpenOffice.org from 2.2 to 2.3 on a Windows system. I had all
applications closed except Adobe Reader, because I'm in the middle of reading a
document and don't want to lose my place. (I wish Reader could save bookmarks,
but that's beside the point.) Halfway through installation, a warning pops up:

Files in Use
Some files that need to be updated are currently in use.
The following applications are using files that need to be updated by this
setup. Close these applications and click Retry to continue.
Adobe Reader - [Java Language Specification 3rd ed.pdf]

On the installation wizard, the status reads "Validating install" and the
progress bar is about 2/3 complete.
