I think this code is very old and I don't know why the timer is restarted in
case there is no ViewFrame. ATM I consider your patch valid. And yes, an event
driven approach would be possible in case your patch doesn't work. I will try to
find out why this restart was added (I'm afraid I have to go back to the
StarOffice cvs).
Target set to 2.4.
