------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Mar 14 07:55:06 -0800 2005 ------- Well, as I'm running a lapttop, with not as much memory as it could have, I can't begrudge 30-40 seconds on initial start up. That wasn't really my problem in the first place... (And didn't really think of it as a bug so much as the bug covered here.) Its the after boot up stuff that really gets me -- I don't mind waiting for even a minute to get it to boot if it runs sweet no matter what I do after it is operating. As that currently isn't the case though, I'd _far_ rather have the program functioning with optimal performance after it started rather than cut down the time it takes to initially boot it up.. that is just my priorities, though. I have a minute to spare when I open OO.o2.0.. I don't have half a minute to spare every 10 minutes when I want to load spell checker, or open a new file, or check document statistics, or open the options, etc etc... see where I'm aiming with that? I agree -- it would be really nice to have it load quicker at boot up, but I think there is a much larger issue at hand in the fact it takes equal time to do some things once it _is_ loaded up, and on a consistant basis. And an intersting thing to add -- there are some issues with it redrawing in new page numbers, etc, when you change the format on page and alter the page types/margins -- this was a characteristic of the old bug in one of the older versions (1.0 I think? haven't been able to find that bug yet though, but I've been looking for it...) It isn't really that notcible, or affect scrolling so bad, but it does have a bit of trouble trying to redraw the new pages and correct the number of pages as well. I'd just love to see this resolved... --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
