OK, per a discussion on issue 8601, this is NOT the same issue. I'm re-opening
it.
Also, a new data point. I just had this phenomenon occur again, with a
relatively small spreadsheet and a fairly large drawing, each of which had been
open for several days. I was able to save my work, close, and re-open.
