Confirmed on XP Ooo2.3, but the bad news is that it does not merely relate to
rtf or to regex.
Example:
- Open new Writer document
- Type abc
- Select all ^a and make italic ^i
- Press Home to remove selection
- Find & Replace dialog: enter c in 'Search for' box; More Options-Format-Italic
- Click Find All
- It hangs
The Help is very vague about what you are allowed to do with Find & Replace -
are you allowed to mix a character search with a format search? Whatever, it
should not hang.
It seems to be OK if there is some non-italic text in the paragraph.
