The default set of automatic corrections for Czech language, as set up in
AutoCorrect after installing OOo, is unusable, because many corrections can
cause correct phrases into gibberish, sometimes completely destroying the
meaning.
The problem is that the default list of phrases attempts to catch and
automatically fix common typos, but some of words and word combinations that
look like typos can be perfectly valid in some Czech phrases.
(By the way, Microsoft Office has exactly the same problem.)
Examples of malformations caused by AutoCorrect (with translations so you can
taste the fun :-) ):
"Draha teto" -> "Draha te'to"
("Dear Aunt" -> "Dear This")
"con" -> "noc"
("Convention" -> "Night")
"zpusobeno podtlakem" -> "zpusobeno pod tlakem"
("Caused by low pressure" -> "Caused by under pressure")
And so on.
