When the document is saved to .doc format (97/2000/XP) and the command File / Export as PDF is selected with the default options, the resulting PDF file generates an error in Adobe Acrobat Reader verion 8.0 giving a message "Cannot find or create the font 'Helvetica'..." The workaround is to go back to the native .odt file format and reexport to PDF.
