Just to clarify that I never said this was a Base problem. But as Calc uses the
Base routines to import dbf files it would be up to the Base team to decide
whether they would like to treat such a crappy file as if it was valid data.

In the first instance it is clearly a bug of the application that generated the
nonsense header.
