I now close the slideshow directly after it is opened when there is no visible
slide.
A better solution would have been to disable the presentation if there is no
visible slide, but for technical reasons this is not very practical.
Still this is a user experience issue since it will confuse a user that is
unable to start a slideshow and this will be experienced as a defect. I'm open
for ideas here...
