I believe overlapping histograms will become available automatically when these
other features are implemented before:
1) Histogram charts ( issue 49971 )
2) Independent x axis ( issue 78093 or maybe issue 7637)
Maybe point 2 is even not necessary.
You can make bars transparent already now.
I will not implement additional complex mechanisms for this.
So state is somewhere between duplicate and won't fix.
