I see that OpenOffice.org looks great in Gnome when it's compiled for Gnome and 
in KDE when it's compiled for KDE. The icons are similar to the desktop 
environment.

However in Windows, icons of the GUI are not really similar to the OS itself. I 
suggest using sort of "XP" icons for the Windows build. Now there are people 
who use Vista, and a more modern and eye-candy GUI would make OpenOffice.org 
more attractive. I'm sure more people would adopt it.
