------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Nov 22 18:07:07 +0000 2007 ------- Frank, The issue is the leak, not the foot print. Actually the startup memory use from OO2.3 is not so much larger then 2.2.1. I think opening a spreadsheet and then closing it again but ending up with 54 + 28 - 40 - 20 = 22MB memory more in use can be called a memory leak (but not necessarily). Similar effects occur under WinXP Pro. Metrics have been determined using taskman.exe I don't think the memory use is so small that it goes unnoticed. Actually when you work all day with OpenOffice (problem may be in Writer too) you will notice the problem in other more qualitative ways (the disk access LED). I will gladly help to reproduce this problem if you would please reopen it.
