Yes, I also think this is uncontroversial. I would prefer a few more words of
explanation, though (e.g. as to why / where "inode number is a good estimator
for on-disk location" actually holds, my guess would be that this i highly
implementation dependent; also, assuming the effect is positive :-) how large it
actually is, say 20% faster or 0.2% faster?).
Anyway, I have reviewed the patch and it looks correct so far. Please integrate
via a child workspace of your choice.
