SPSS is a widely used statistical package. It can produce rtf output und uses a
special font "SPSS Marker Set".

If you import such a rtf output (s. example.rtf) in StarWriter 7.0 PP4 under Win
2000 Pro, it is

- not presented correctly on the screen (1280 x 1024 pixel), see
  example-in-Writer.gif,

- not printed correctly with Writer on Adobe Acrobat Distiller 6.0, see
  example-Writer-Distiller.pdf,

- not exported completely correct as pdf, see example-WriterPdfExport.pdf.

If this Writer file is printed on a postscript printer (Minolta Magicolor 3100),
it is printed absolutely correct.
In Word, everything is ok: screen presentation, print on Distiller and on
Minolta Magicolor.

The fonts used in example.rtf are Courier New and SPSS Marker Set, both with
fixed width, formatted with 8 pt. The option "use printer metrics" has no
influence. It seems to be a defect in calculating the width of items.
