New Tai Lue line-breaking freezes OOo 2.3.0

When typing any New Tai Lue characters other than digits up to the point when
the line should break, OOo freezes. This is a very serious defect that makes
OOo not usable for New Tai Lue, a script added to Unicode 4.1 & in use by
300,000 people.

This problem occurs in OOo 2.3.0 on both Windows (XP Professional SP2) & Linux
(Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10). It affects at least Writer & Calc in the suite but not
other Windows applications like Word & NotePad or Linux applications like gedit
& abiword.

Test case:
0. Install the attached .ttf.

For Writer:
1. Open the attached .odt file, which contains a line of New Tai Lue characters
up to the right margin.
2. Do anything that will cause the line to overshoot the right margin, e.g.,:
   a. Copy & paste any character anywhere in the line.
   b. Go to Insert|Special Character... & insert any character in the range
U+1980..U+19C9 anywhere in the line.
   c. Type 2 spaces anywhere but the end of the line.
   d. Select the line & increase the font size, whether via the font-size
combo-box on the Formatting toolbar, the right-click context menu's option
Character..., or the menu bar's Format|Character...
   e. Go to Format|Page & change the paper format to A4.
Now Writer freezes, whereas it should have wrapped the text to the next line.

For Calc:
1. Open the attached .ods file, which has a cell with New Tai Lue characters up
to the right cell margin.
2. Do anything that will cause the line to overshoot the right cell margin,
e.g.,:
   a. Narrow the cell width to 2cm or below, whether by dragging the cell right
margin or via Format|Column|Width...
   b. Increase the cell border spacing to 2mm or above via the Borders tab of
either the right-click context menu's option Format Cells... or the menu bar's
Format|Cells...
   c. Increase the font size, whether via the font-size combo-box on the
Formatting toolbar or via the Font tab of the right-click context menu's option
Format Cells... or the menu bar's Format|Cells...
   d. Press F2 or double-click to edit the cell & do one of steps 2a-c in the
test case for Writer.
Now Calc freezes, whereas it should have let the text span across the cell to
the right or, if auto-wrap is set, wrapped it to the next line.
