Word (as of at least Office 2003) cannot support page sizes larger than 22", so presumably it also cannot support images sized that large. I'm a bit surprised at that extra .75" it currently appears to allow. Perhaps some conversion is happening there, I'm not sure. When a user tries to save a Writer file or an object that's larger than Word can support, this should at least produce an error warning with a note that the user must change the document dimensions to no larger than 22".
