Can confirm this on OOo 2.3 stable and OOo 2.3 dev m235 English version on MS
Win2k!
Here is it how to reproduce (basically the same as in the last post):
1.) create a new document, e.g.:
aaa
2.) 'Search and Replace' (e.g. hit CTRL+F):
3.) enter '^a' as the search field, without the delimiters (')
i.e. search only for one 'a' at the beginning of a paragraph
4.) enter 'bb' for the 'Replace with'
5.) change the formatting!!!! <-- NECESSARY FOR THE BUG
choose e.g. 'bold', or 'italic'
6.) hit 'REPLACE ALL'
EXPECTED:
bbaa
ACTUAL:
bbbbbb
This is indeed a bug and has nothing to do with inappropriate regular
expressions. It seems that inserting a formatted text will behave erroneously as
IF creating a new paragraph.
