For example, Iconverted in CPIO archive the rpms, I've extracted the CPIO archive and the I've obtained a subdir with /opt/openoffice.org2.3/. I've copied the subdir openoffice.org2.3 on subdir in my local root (myroot/Programs) and I've created a symlink on myroot/bin called ooffice2 to myroot/Programs/openoffice.org2.3/program/soffice.bin Launching ooffice2 from the shell I'm obtaining that lock effect described above.
