No. This was done in Calc. I would have the first page setup with validations
that point to column based lists on the second sheet. If I would insert or
make any change in the list on the second sheet, the validation reference (on
the first sheet) would change to some "seemingly" random list of cells
somewhere else.

It was frustrating because, if I recall correctly, I did a "sort" on one of the
lists on the second sheet so the dropdown on the first sheet would be
alphabetical and the validation lost the correct list from the second sheet and
picked some other column at random (it seems). It made it difficult since I
can do this in excel and it never loses the correct reference. (NOTE: I never
used excel during this, I had the individual purchase excel for their computer
so that this would work correctly for them.)

I am sharing this information in case someone wants to address it in
openoffice. I am willing to setup open office on one of my virtual machines to
give a demo of what I am talking about. It will just take me a little while to
do since I have to do my secular work first (sigh).

Hi,

is the used file an Excel file ? If so, Excel isn't capable to use cross sheet
references in validation lists.
