------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Jan 1 19:39:08 +0000 2008 ------- Using Openoffice.org 2.3.1, (openoffice-bin-2.3.1 on gentoo) there are still problems here (though my previous attachment seems to work okay now---this may be because the font changed on my system). It looks like there are several problems: (1) When ruby test is present, the size of the characters that can appear in the grid shrinks; if the text is too big, it shifts over to the left. (This is different from what happens when the text is too large without rubies.) (2) If the ruby is too large, it also pushes the main text to the left. (3) Both sizes are smaller than those listed in the Format > Page > Text Grid. (In my example, the max base text size is shown as 20 and the max ruby text size is shown as 10, but I can't do better than 18 and 7 without shifting---though I can fit 20 point main text in if there isn't any ruby text.) I'm not sure what should happen if a character is too large to fit in the grid, but it probably shouldn't be different depending on whether there is ruby text or not. (The shifting seems wrong to me, but there may not be a good answer.) But the sizes should be correct on the Text Grid page, and adding ruby which fits should not move main text which fits. I will attach an example showing all of this. (To avoid any font issues, I tried to use Bitstream Vera Sans.) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
