I can reproduce the problem with OOo 2.3.1 but not with OOo-Dev (m240). Notice
that I didn't install Bakoma fonts. With OOo 2.3.1 <= sign is remplaced by
whitespace not by dot. With OOo-Dev I see the <= sign.
