------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Jan 12 14:39:19 +0000 2008 ------- When saving and then opening a document containing "show variable" fields that show the value of text fields, all show "0". There is no easy way to fix this. Refreshing the field's value using F9 does not work. Neither does cutting the field and pasting it back in. The only solution is to open the field, remember which variable it shows, deleting the field, and creating a new field showing the variable in question. Since this bug affects all "show variable" fields in the document, this results in a manual search-and-replace chore through the whole document. How to encounter: *Insert "set variable" fields in the document that assign some text to a variable. *Insert "show variable" fields that show the value of the variables. Mine were in a header, but I don't think it matters. *Notice how the field displays the text. *Save the document and close it. *Open the document. *Notice how all "show variable" fields everywhere display "0". Things I tried: *No amount of F9-ing will fix it, neither on the document as a whole, nor on the individual fields in any order. *Double clicking the field and clicking OK in the dialog - no change. *Cutting the field and pasting it back in - no change. *Deleting the field and inserting a fresh new one. This helps, but the next time you reopen the document the problem recurs. (P2: User data is corrupted in an easy-to-encounter way) (save-export: Actually I of course can't know if this happens on save or open...) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
