several actions affecting 'tasks' pane do not complete succesfully or have
unexpected effects.
here are several scenarios that do not work es expected. all start with
creating a new, empty presentation. do not perform any additional actions
inbetween the steps mentioned :)
a) make sure "master pages" is expanded in "tasks" pane and both tasks and
slides panes are visible.
1. right click either on the slide in "slides" pane, or the main slide (middle
of the screen in normal view). choose "slide layout" in the first case, "slide-
>slide layout" in the second. notice that nothing happens.
2. right click on the same slide, choose "slide transition" - 'tasks' pane
opens "layouts".
3. if you do not choose "slide layout" before clicking on "slide transition",
correct section ("slide transition") is opened in the tasks pane.
4. subsequent rightclick actions with choosing "slide transition" also do not
work.
b) make sure "master pages" is expanded in "tasks" pane and both tasks and
slides panes are visible.
1. right click either on the slide in "slides" pane, or the main slide (middle
of the screen in normal view). choose "slide layout" in the first case, "slide-
>slide layout" in the second. notice that nothing happens.
2. in the "tasks" pane, left click to expand either "custom animation" or
"slide transition". notice that "layouts" is opened instead.
c) make sure "master pages" is expanded in "tasks" pane and slides pane is
visible.
1. hide "tasks" pane (by left clicking on the separator bar).
2. right click either on the slide in "slides" pane, or the main slide (middle
of the screen in normal view). choose "slide layout" in the first case, "slide-
>slide layout" in the second. notice that "tasks" pane is not unhidden - it
should be so.
3. the same is true for right clicking the slide in "slides" pane and choosing
"slide transition".
d) make sure "master pages" is expanded in "tasks" pane and slides pane is
visible.
1. close "tasks" pane
2. right click on the slide in "slides" pane, choose "slide transition". notice
that "tasks" pane does not appear - it should.
3. right click either on the slide in "slides" pane, or the main slide (middle
of the screen in normal view). choose "slide layout" in the first case, "slide-
>slide layout" in the second. this time "tasks" pane appears.
4. notice that incorrect section of the task pane is open "slide transitions",
instead of the action that opened the pane - "layouts"
initially reported in #openoffice.org by burgermann, reproduced by cloph (who
also noticed the problems with hidden and closed "tasks" pane :) ).
