this seems so obvious that i'm surprised it's not reported already - but maybe 
i've got all this completely wrong.

create a new presentation, go to view->master->slide master.

in master view toolbar click on "new master" button. now select created master 
page and try to delete it.
if "delete master" button is clicked, master page is deselected and button 
shaded (but there is no warning or confirmation text). master page is not 
removed.

if "delete master" is chosen from context menu, master page is deselected, but 
corresponding toolbar button is not deactivated. pressing that button does 
nothing and after this it's shaded.
