Open bug with an older version (e.g. OOo2.3.1)
=> you will see two insertions (paragraph break and 'night')

Open with a OOo2.4 (at least OOH680m4)
=> you will see only one insertion, starting at the paragraph break and ending
behind 'night'
All words in the paragraph before 'night' are marked as inserted which is wrong.

BTW: This occurs not only on import of old documents, it occurs in real life as
well:
New document,
insert two paragraph with some text
enable change tracking
insert a word into the second paragraph (in the middle or at the end)
press <Enter> at the end of the first paragraph to insert a new paragraph
=> the change tracking (insertion of your marked word) expands to the start of
the paragraph
