------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Mar 17 23:48:41 -0800 2005 ------- Scenario: Internet Explorer 6 configured with proxy and option ticked "Bypass proxy server for local addresses". Web address entered is something like "http://Intranet/mydocs/testdoc.doc". Result: Plugin starts up correctly but the plugin incorrectly tries to fetch the document through the proxy, thus the proxy returns typically an unknown www server error (within the plugin). Possible reason: The web plugin does not recognize a local (non-dns) name format (without dots) and thus passes the URL to the proxy. Seriousness: We as the Department of Agriculture cannot deploy the software with this type of issue. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
