@ osavill : in OOo language is an option of the font of a character. If you
choose a language in OOo options (tools > options > linguistic) it is only for
default formatting. It does not have effect on existing documents.
In OOo 2.4 spellchecker says that words in first paragraph are in Danish and
detect that it may be, in fact, in English.
I think this issue can be closed as worksforme.
