I think the most common usage is, that one task is being solved by using the
Navigation. So in my eyes, it is quite good, if its closed by clicking the
target type.
If you really want to use the Navigation with different targets, you can
"undock" it by just moving a little bit. In this state, it will only be close by
the x button.
